Hung Diaphragm Solenoid Valve

Assisted lift / Kick Pilot solenoid valves utilise the movement of the armature via a mechanical link to the diaphragm or piston to directly lift the diaphragm or piston. The additional pilot allows for control for servo/ pressure assistance for higher pressures.

With the inlet pressure P1 and the valve de-energised the pressure of the media forces the diaphragm or piston tight against the outlet orifice closing the solenoid valve and preventing flow.

When energised the coil lifts the armature which is mechanically lined and lifts the diaphragm or piston putting the valve into the open position allowing flow from P1 to P2. However, the process also opens the servo assist pilot hole, allowing the diaphragm or piston to work as servo/ pressure assisted. With this mechanical link and pilot assist, this solenoid valve design offers guaranteed opening or closing regardless of system pressures (within stated working parameters).

Benefits of Assisted Lift Solenoid Valves:

2 way assisted lift solenoid valves are well suited for vacuum and low pressure, high flow and closed loop systems and can be found in Brass, Bronze, Ductile or Cast Iron, Stainless Steel and Plastic bodied variants.

Other associated names for Assisted Lift Solenoid valves are

Hung Diaphragm solenoid valves, Hung Piston solenoid valves, Kick Pilot solenoid valves, direct acting solenoid valves, zero differential solenoid valve, coupled diaphragm solenoid valve, coupled piston solenoid valve.
